Fish Tail Holy Mountain (Macchapucchre) Nepal There are a couple of stories about this post. The first is that I (Dylan) have been uploading more images than usual recently. The main reason for this being that I expect little or no activity for some time after our second child arrives in a few short weeks. The second is the story itself. This image of Marianne’s was taken after we had spent the night sleeping on a rock at 4100m elevation near Annapurna Base Camp. Why were we on a rock? Marianne’s ability to handle high altitude has been in question ever since we attempted the Everest Base Camp trek in 2006 and even though this was 1000m lower, her body did not handle the sudden increase in elevation over the last two days of the hike.
