Formerly huge social network Myspace has opened up a completely revamped version of its site to the public today.
Under the new ownership of Specific Media and part-owner Justin Timberlake, Myspace’s goal is no longer about competing with the other major social networks. Instead, the site is focused on cultivating a new focus on both mainstream and underground music groups. The slick new version of the website first debuted back in November, as VentureBeat previously reported.
Myspace is doing its best to pique interest by former and new users. Not only is it making a new single by Timberlake and rapper Jay-Z available for free, it’s also allowing you to sign up with your Facebook, Twitter, or old Myspace account.
